Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots

The Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots give caregivers permanent residence when they arrive or, for those already in Canada, when they are approved. There are two pilots: Child Care (home child care providers, NOC 44100) and Home Support (home support workers, NOC 44101).
You need a full-time job offer from a private household or an eligible home care organization outside Quebec, CLB 4 in English or French in all four skills, the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma, and either six months of recent full-time work in the occupation or a six-month home care training credential. Intake is capped and opens at times IRCC announces. In 2025 the stream for workers in Canada filled on its first day, so preparing early matters.

Is the pilot open now?
The pilots use limited intake periods that IRCC announces. Contact us and we will tell you the current status and help you prepare, so you can apply on the first day.
Do I need IELTS?
You need an approved test showing CLB 4 in all four skills: IELTS or CELPIP or PTE Core for English, or TEF or TCF for French.
We never guarantee approvals. Only Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes decisions on applications.
