Express Entry
Permanent residence for skilled workers through Canada’s fastest economic pathway.
Reviewed by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (licensed by the CICC)Last updated:
Express Entry is Canada’s main online system for skilled workers who want permanent residence. It manages three federal programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
Candidates are ranked by the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). IRCC regularly invites the highest-ranked candidates, including in category-based draws for in-demand occupations and French speakers. A strong strategy can make a real difference to your score.

Frequently asked questions
What CRS score do I need?
There is no fixed score. Cut-offs change with every draw and differ between general and category-based draws. We estimate your score and compare it with recent draws so you know where you stand.
Which language tests are accepted?
For English: IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General or PTE Core. For French: TEF Canada or TCF Canada. Results are valid for two years.
We never guarantee approvals. Only Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes decisions on applications.
